How Portsmouth fans have reacted to news that Danny Cowley is set for long-term Fratton Park stay

The News understands that the Blues head coach, along with his brother Nicky, will stay at Fratton Park for the long haul - even if a place in the play-offs isn’t reached this season.

And that has gone down with the Fratton faithful, with many believing the Cowleys deserve time to stamp their authority on the club.

Harry Wood: Good, keep the Cowley Bros on for another season or two and let them rebuild for the summer. Very happy with this, PUP!

Chris Hawkins: They need time and maybe money to build their own team.

@HarryGardner26: Fans love them, a great record when they have their own team, should get a pre season and a full season as a min.

Players that get the Pompey ethos and want to play for the club! Get rid of the dead wood! PUP.

Hopefully that will all change with some cowley players in.

Let them have a fresh canvas and a 3-year contract, and I believe we’ll get promoted in that time.
