Pompey retained their unbeaten League One record with a 1-1 draw against Shrewsbury.
Kenny Jackett’s men looked to be heading for a defeat after Greg Docherty opened the scoring for the Shrews on 74 minutes.
But Brett Pitman came to the rescue with an 87th-minute penalty.

Not at our best but we remain unbeaten. Sunderland and Barnsley also dropped points.
Win next Saturday and we are top.
A draw was probably fair. We lacked urgency in the first half, not just in our play but also things like taking time over set pieces etc which was strange.
We were much improved after the break and ground out a draw.
That’s the second game in a row we have really missed Hawkins as soon as he went off. Thought he did really well playing with his back to goal and holding it up again.
Probably two points dropped but still unbeaten and we move on to a big game next weekend.
I thought overall Hawkins was our best player today despite only playing for just over an hour and deserved the MoM instead of Jamal Lowe.
Central defence generally not so convincing (both of them) today.
5 wins and 2 draws in the first 7 games it’s a great start. Well done Kenny.
Evans was the weak link today. Their sitting midfielder completely outplayed Evans, who had no way of influencing play, surprising he was not subbed
That was a hard game today, but we still got a point! So, Well done lads.
We got away with it today. In Kenny we trust

We are having too many poor halves for my liking.
Luton, Doncaster and Bristol spring to mind – Jackett has to stamp it out.
Only Shrewsbury's poor finishing cost them the win, our luck won't hold all season. play like that next week and we just as well not turn up.
