John Marquis returns to Portsmouth starting XI for Coventry clash
John Marquis returns to the Pompey starting XI for tonight’s game against Coventry.
The striker represents the only change to the Blues side that recorded a ninth-successive win in all competitions at Tranmere on Saturday.
He replaces Ellis Harrison as Pompey’s lone striker in Kenny Jackett’s preferred 4-2-3-1 system, after sitting out the 2-0 win at Prenton Park.
Marquis has been in fine goalscoring form of late, netting six goals since the turn of the year.
Harrison drops to the bench as Jackett sticks to the same match-day 18 that featured at Tranmere.
As expected, Andy Cannon didn’t travel to St Andrew’s because of a glute injury.
