Kenny Jackett reveals why Peter Taylor can improve Portsmouth's attacking talent
Following the session, Taylor worked with Ronan Curtis, Marcus Harness and Ryan Williams on aspects of wing play.

Hide AdNot only did the 67-year-old represent his country on four occasions, he later had two spells as England coach with the under-21s and under-20s – as well as one match as caretaker England boss.
And Jackett believes his friend’s input can benefit the Blues’ game.
He told The News: ‘Peter came in and talked to Ronan Curtis, Marcus Harness and Ryan Williams.
‘He was a good winger himself, so did a little bit with the wingers in terms of receiving the ball on the outside foot and how you move, which was quite interesting detail.

Hide Ad‘He has been in once or twice before at different times, whether to come down to see myself or coach.
‘I do think it’s quite good if somebody’s got a detail on one player where they can help. He was a good winger himself and has managed England.
‘He did a bit with our wide men at the end of training where he was receiving the ball and how you move it just before you cross.
‘It’s a small gain, maybe a one or two-per cent sometimes, which can make a big difference.’

Hide AdIn recent seasons under Jackett, Stuart Pearce has sporadically helped out on the training pitch.
Earlier this month he rejoined West Ham as first-team coach, ruling himself out of any future appearances.
Taylor remains an option, although Pompey’s boss does not know when the former Leicester boss will pop in next.
He added: ‘I don’t know whether it will happen again, it depends on what he does. Peter’s a busy man.

Hide Ad‘There are some people I know and trust and if they can come up with a detail on a player it helps, doesn’t it. It can be an interesting addition, giving players information in the week.’
