Flint, 19, came through the youth ranks at Fratton Park, serving his two-year apprenticeship between 2017-2019.

After initially being released by the Blues last summer, he impressed when returning to training to regain his fitness following an arm injury and was rewarded with a short-term deal.

Flint would go on to make two appearances for Kenny Jackett's side in the Leasing.com Trophy last season, registering a goal and assist on debut in a 3-1 defeat of Norwich under-21s.

The former Crookhorn College pupil departed Pompey in January and, after having a trial with Leage Two side Walsall, moved to Bognor.

But his career took him to Holland this summer and follows in the footsteps of former Blues team-mate Leon Maloney by joining Volendam.

Flint becomes yet another ex-Fratton prospect who has made a move abroad in recent years.

Maloney was sold to Volendam last January for an undisclosed fee, while James Whiting and Stan Bridgman are plying their trade Pallo-lirot in Finland.

Meanwhile, Liam Kelly sealed a scholarship at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey after his release from PO4 earlier this summer.
