Already, we've seen a host of ex-Pompey players offer their services to feature in next year's clash.

Now Kit Symons and Sean Davis have also agreed to be involved in the fixture.

Symons spent eight years at Fratton Park, scoring 11 goals in 204 appearances.

Since retiring, the former defender has gone into coaching. As well as managing Fulham, he served as Chris Coleman's assistant for the Wales national team, Sunderland and most recently Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune.

Symons has agreed to take charge of one of the teams for the game at Portchester – and is hoping that Coleman will be his right-hand man.

Coleman is Pompey winger Ronan Curtis' godfather while his partner, Charlotte Jackson, is from Wickham.

Davis, meanwhile, had a three-year spell on the south coast.

The midfielder arrived in January 2006 as part of a triple-signing from Tottenham along with Pedro Mendes and Noe Pamarot.

Davis netted three times in 116 games and was part of the 2008 FA Cup-winning squad - although admitting he was drunk on the Wembley bench after being omitted from the match-day set-up.

In addition to those playing, ex-loanee Cameron McGeehan donated a match-worn shirt that was auctioned for £120.
