Here’s how members of the Fratton faithful reacted to the reverse on social media...

Thought Coventry started off very well and after that we largely nullified them. We were the better side in the second half, without really looking too likely to score. A close game between two sides who will be there or there abouts by the end of the season. We have to dust ourselves off and get straight on another run now.

OK, we're all very disappointed as our long unbeaten run has finally come to an end. But don't think too many people ever really expected us to win tonight anyway, if we're honest. As we're still in the Top 6, with 2 games in hand, so it's not the end of the world!

Hide AdIt was a shocking performance from us and Coventry deserved the win tonight, but it should be about how we bounce back from this unfortunate setback in our season, so please make sure we do so against Shrewsbury at home on Saturday, you've still got my backing Jackett and I believe we can still achieve promotion under you this season,

Marquis shouldn’t have started, we need the drive form Harrison. Scrappy in the middle without Cannon. Seddon has had a mare along that touch line tonight. #Pompey
@adampfc_
Cov and Posh to go up automatically, reckon out only chance is through playoffs #Pompey
@MikeyRobs91
Really didn’t work tonight, tough to watch, must start again Saturday #pompey

@ryanhoney9
So disappointing we switched off from a throw in. It managed to go 20/25 yards inside before any player reacted... However, only 3rd loss in 25. So no need to panic! We go again. Up the Blues
@adarkelimited
We are a better team when Harrison starts. There can’t be any argument about that and Marquis can’t have any complaints about playing second fiddle. #Pompey
@ShantastikMrFox
Lets be honest #pompey were terrible tonight and still created more chances than Coventry. They are a poor side whose goalie kept them in it. Im certain Pompey will finish above them and the bang average Sunderland and Wycombe. #PUP
