The Blues ran out 2-1 winners at Rochdale to remain fifth in the League One table.

Ryan Williams broke the deadlock in the fifth minute before Ronan Curtis doubled the home side’s advantage in the 37th minute.

Jake Beesley notched a stoppage-time consolation for the Dale but Cowley’s side managed to grind out three points.

Pompey, in particular, were impressive in the first half with plenty of the eye-catching performances.
