Arriving to cover the injured Richard O'Donnell, McGee made four outings in Bradford's League Two play-off push.
Following O'Donnell's return to full fitness, however, the 24-year-old again found himself reduced to a support-act role before the coronavirus outbreak suspended the season last month.
McGee’s loan was was due to expire May 31, while his contract at Pompey comes to a close on June 30.

Hide AdThe season will run well beyond both dates when it recommences and Kenny Jackett confirmed McGee will see out his spell at Stuart McCall's side.
The Blues manager said: ‘Yes, he will (finish the season at Bradford)
‘He's in a bit of limbo and played initially when he first joined before they brought O'Donnell back into the side.
‘Luke will be ticking over and waiting on information for when their season resumes and see if they can get promoted.

McGee arrived at Pompey from Spurs for an undisclosed fee in July 2017.
