The striker stepped up his injury recovery today, after picking up a hamstring issue against Doncaster.

Harrison was working outside with medical staff and is progressing well through his rehab.

The 26-year-old is not being considered for tomorrow’s clash with Northampton.

Jackett isn’t ruling out a return against the Addicks this weekend, however.

He said: ‘Ellis was doing three-quarter pace running today.

‘He’s not going to be fit for tomorrow, but we’ll see in terms of the weekend.

‘He’s not too far away now, it depends on how this week goes.

‘He won’t be involved tomorrow but he’s out there on the grass, so we’ll see what type of week he has.

‘I wouldn’t rule out Saturday yet.’

Jackett highlighted the importance of having the likes of Harrison back in his ranks, following the switch to playing two strikers.

He feels having options like the former Ipswich man and new boy Jordy Hiwula is going to be important in the coming weeks.

Jackett added: ‘Yes we do (need to keep him fit).

‘He’s been a big player for us Ellis and done very well.

‘If we’re in a situation where there’s two up front we need some options and substitutes as well, hence Hiwula coming in.’
