Pompey have granted a debut to 16-year-old Haji Mnoga at Crawley tonight.
The former Trafalgar School pupil became a first-year scholar in June and has been appearing for the Academy this season.
Mnoga is named at right-back in the Checkatrade Trophy as one of nine changes to the side which lost to Gillingham at the weekend.
There is also a debut for Louis Dennis, finally given his chance to impress in the first-team following a summer arrival from Bromley.
Meanwhile, Dion Donohue makes his long-awaited comeback after being dogged by illness and injury.
Gareth Evans and Ben Close keep their places from Saturday, with the likes of Danny Rose, Joe Mason, Anton Walkes and Brandon Haunstrup given the opportunity to impress.
Elsewhere, Academy midfielder Freddie Read is on the bench.
Pompey: McGee, Mnoga, Burgess, Walkes, Haunstrup, Close, Rose, Evans, Dennis, Donohue, Mason.
Subs: MacGillivray, Clarke, Read, Pitman, Hawkins, Naylor, Thompson.
