The pair, who have not been named by the Blues, were diagnosed following the club’s second round of testing, which was held on Monday.

Although results declared Blues players and staff clear at the end of last week, there have since been two new cases.

The announcement comes 24 hours after Pompey’s season was given the green light to resume after League One clubs finally reached resolution.

With the 2019-20 campaign now curtailed, Kenny Jackett’s side will instead be involved in play-off semi-finals against Oxford United.

However, they will be without both players for a period as they seek self-isolation.

In March, five Blues players were found to have coronavirus following tests.
