Their new look is the third under current suppliers Nike and sees the Blues’ home shirt revert to a distinctive white collar design.

It was a common feature on Pompey strips during the late ’70 and ’80s – and the early 1990s.

And it’s the first time since the 2014-15 season that the Blues have utilised this particular style.

The University of Portsmouth remains the main shirt sponsors and they take pride of place on the front.

Meanwhile, the shirt – which is slim fit for a tailored feel and uses Nike’s latest sweat-wicking Dri-FIT fabric – has an embossed graphic throughout to provide a subtle extra.

Pompey revealed some new training kit ahead of their play-off double-header against Oxford at the start of July.

But it’s their official playing shirts that always generate much interest among fans, with the Blues set to wear it for the first time when their pre-season programme gets under way.

No fixtures have yet been released, although Kenny Jackett has pencilled in five friendlies, with Fratton Park to host the final game on Saturday, September 5 – a week before the 2020-21 League One season gets under way.

Pompey return to pre-season on Monday.

The new shirt is available to purchase now from the online store, while those who wish to buy in person from the shop in Anson Road can do so from 10.30am on Wednesday, August 5.
