The Blues finally picked up a maiden third-tier victory of the camapaign last weekend – an impressive 4-2 success at Burton Albion.
Kenny Jackett then made wholesale changes for a comfortable 3-0 triumph over Southend in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday.
What’s more, the Pompey boss switched formations from his favoured 4-2-3-1 in both games.
And at Southend, Jackett rolled out a 3-4-3 formation - and hasn’t ruled out using it again.
We've taken a look at how we think Pompey will start against MK Dons and who will be on the bench...
1. Goalkeeper - Craig MacGillivray
The Scot was given a rest for the win at Southend but is expected to come back into the starting XI in the league. Photo: Daniel Chesterton
2. Right-back - Callum Johnson
Given a rest on Tuesday, with Haji Mnoga instead featuring. However, Johnson's arrived as first-choice right-back and started well at PO4. Can play in a wing-back role if Pompey indeed opt for that formation again. Photo: Joe Pepler
3. Centre-back - Jack Whatmough
Given a well-deserved night off against Southend. The academy graduate has been in excellent form this season. Photo: Daniel Chesterton
4. Centre-back - Sean Raggett
The debut of Rasmus Nicolaisen at Southend has put the ex-Norwich man's spot under pressure somewhat. With Pompey beating Burton, however, Kenny Jackett may stick with Raggett. Photo: Daniel Chesterton
