Portsmouth's impressive away-day presence and memorable moments on the road

A staggering 30,439 Pompey fans have watched the Blues on the road this season, according to official figures.

That represents an average away attendance of 1,383 from the 22 games Kenny Jackett’s side have played away from Fratton Park so far this term – not bad going given the number of long-haul trips in the current League One fixture list and those midweek away matches. It, therefore, got us wondering what percentage Pompey supporters make to opposition attendances and the resulting financial boost a game against the Blues provides? Here we break down that percentage and rank Pompey’s presence on these away days, according to overall attendance figures. By the way, 166,926 fans in total have taken in the Blues away games this season, with official Pompey fans making up 18 per cent of that total – nearly one in five supporters.
