Portsmouth's Ronan Curtis handed place in football writers' League One team of the season

Ronan Curtis has made it into the football writers’ League One team of the season.

The Pompey winger has made quite an impression on the hacks who cover their respective clubs in the third tier – including our very own Neil Allen. And he’s been handed a spot in their dream XI – the only Blues representative, though, to make the star-studded line-up. Christian Burgess is on the bench after, arguably, his best season at Fratton Park. But with Rotherham’s Michael Ihiekwe and Fleetwood’s Harry Souttar getting the vote at centre-back, the defender has clearly had some stiff competition to contend with. The formation chosen is one familiar to all Blues fans – 4-2-3-1, a favourite of Kenny Jackett. To find out who else has been included, simply click through the pictures.
