Pompey take on Crewe tonight at Gresty Road.

Danny Cowley’s perfect record since taking the Fratton Park hot seat came to an end on Saturday with a defeat to Burton – and he’ll want a big response.

However, the Blues’ attacking problems are well documented heading up to Gresty Road.

Pompey may just have three senior forward options in Ronan Curtis, Ryan Williams and Marcus Harness available.

Ellis Harrison and Michael Jacobs (both knee) are both ruled out for the remainder of the season, while Jordy Hiwula remains a long-term absence with an ankle problem.

To add to Cowley’s problems, John Marquis is also a major doubt with an ankle issue – despite being available once again having served a three-match suspension for a red card at Shrewsbury Town.
