  • Three changes for Pompey, Brown for Ogilvie, Williams for Hackett-Fairchild and Harness for Ahadme
  • Pompey aiming to make it five League One matches without defeat
  • Wigan’s Whatmough and Naylor start against their former club

Scary moment as Curtis miscontrols in the area and Wigan claim it struckhis arm. Darikwa then fires straight at Bazunu with the follow up

Great opening for Pompey as Harness’ deep cross picks out Curtis on the edge of the area, yet his goalbound curling effort is blocked. The home faithful growing increasingly frustrated with referee Sarginson as they feel a number of decisions are going against their side

First real bit of danger here for Pompey as Jones weaves his way into the box with a jinking run and goes to ground, but referee Chris Sarginson waves play on. The Blues still largely untroubled here approaching 25 minutes

Really bright start here from Pompey. Amos has had to tip over an early Robertson header while Marquis couldn’t quite hook towards goal from close range. The early signs are encouraging for Cowley’s side, though

The game gets under way!

Interesting to see how Pompey fare today in what is the toughest test of the season so far. Wigan have suffered just one defeat in four League One matches and have started with games against Sunderland, Rotherham, Wycombe and Charlton

Wigan include former Pompey pair Whatmough and Naylor in their starting line up

Three changes for Pompey who look like they’ll revert to a 4-3-3 formation this afternoon with Morrell, Tunnicliffe and Williams all involved. Brown comes in for Ogilivie at left-back, Williams for Hackett-Fairchild and Harness has recovered from injury to replace Ahadme from the draw at Doncaster last time out
