Work is also being carried out to the interior of the building, which now hosts the clubs offices.
The plan is for the space to one day be able to converted to a pub and made available to supporters.
That would be dependent on Pompey being given the green light to continue the phased redevelopment of Fratton Park.

That would then pave the way for the Pompey pub to one day open its doors to supporters once again.
The pub was built at the turn of the 20th century by Portsmouth architect Arthur Cogswell and served its last pint in 1988.
In that time it was the site of many famous celebrations in the club’s history.

Oldham’s mid-week defeat to Shrewsbury meant Ball’s side were up without kicking a ball - leading to memorable scenes at the pub over the following days.
Brickwoods was the largest brewery across the Portsmouth area until 1983 and the buildings which once housed their pubs are still prominent across the city.
