Revealed: Portsmouth players' performances ranked if season was to end now

If Pompey’s season was to come to a premature end because of the coronavirus, The News thought it would be interesting to see which players would be in contention for the player-of-the-year award.

Traditionally, we ask fans to vote for their favourite over the course of the campaign, with The News/Sports Mail Trophy awarded to the deserving player on the final day of the season. Hopefully, that process will take place and football resumes as normal as soon as possible. In the meantime, though, we’ve been looking at who could come out on top based on the player ratings we award at the end of each Blues game. Hopefully, you’ll find the results interesting and won’t be too surprised by the outcome. Note: With Pompey having played 50 games this already season, we believe the cut-off point for selection is 15 matches this season.
