The defender has established himself as a player who delivers results for the Blues this term.

Raggett has been the only constant figure through the winning start to 2020 for Kenny Jackett’s men.

The man who’s on loan from Norwich is the only player to have started all of the seven games Pompey have won so far this year, as part of an unbroken run of 12 full appearances.

In fact, Raggett’s stats for the season make for excellent reading when it comes to delivering a return for his team.

Of his 26 appearances the Blues have lost just three times - winning a massive 18 games drawing on five occasions.

Raggett said: ‘The stats aren’t bad are they!

‘But I won’t be looking into those too much. I’m just enjoying my football.

‘I definitely feel I’m doing okay. Hopefully I can keep it going to the end of the season and there’s a promotion at the end of it.’

Another virtual constant through the ferocious pace Pompey have set at the start of the new year has been Christian Burgess.

Last week’s EFL Trophy win over Scunthorpe was the only game Burgess hasn’t started through the winning run, as he replaced James Bolton early in the second half.

Raggett can sense an understanding developing with his defensive partner.

He added: ‘I do feel settled with Burge.

‘I feel comfortable and I think the way it’s going shows that we’re feeling comfortable on the pitch.

‘We were never far off, but maybe we’ve changed a couple of things and it’s paid off for us.’
