The left-back started his career at Manchester United before joining Pompey’s youth set-up aged 16 in 2004. He made his first-team debut in a 4-0 League Cup defeat to Chelsea in 2008 and made 49 outings for the Fratton Park side. The Republic of Ireland international joined Stoke in 2010 and would spend six years at the then Britannia Stadium before spending time at Bournemouth, West Brom and Sunderland. 6. RM: Ryan Williams
After moving from Australia in 2010, the winger learnt his trade at Fratton Park and broke into the first-team set-up as a 17-year-old during the 2011-12 season. He left Fratton Park that summer for Fulham, spending three years at Craven Cottage, before going on to play for Gillingham, Oxford, Barnsley and Rotherham. He returned to Pompey in 2019. However, it was an unsuccessful return as Williams only managed to net eight times in 95 appearances. The 28-year-old returned to Oxford in the summer and has scored twice in 23 outings.
