5. George Johnston
Defender joined Bolton in the summer on a three-year deal after being linked with Pompey.
Johnston spent the second half of last term on loan at Wigan, making 22 appearances and has followed that up with 13 starts and three outings off the bench for the Trotters so far.
The former Liverpool player has largely been utilised in the middle of defence, although he has also operated as a left-back and holding midfielder
It’s been a steady rather than spectacular season for Johnson so far according to the WhoScored.com ratings, returning an average mark of 6.62 from 18 appearances.

6. TJ Eyoma
Danny Cowley was left frustrated as the powerful defender was landed by Lincoln, who pushed the boat out to secure his signature amid Pompey interest.
The 21-year-old is predominantly a right-back who can play in the middle, and he has been utilised centrally by Michael Appleton this term.
The former Spurs man’s future lies firmly at Sincil Bank, where he made a strong impression on loan last season.

7. Ryan Leak
The former Wolves academy talent came in on trial, but Danny Cowley chose not to progress any interest after his featured in pre-season.
Leak was instead picked up by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink at Burton Albion, after a similar stint trying to earn a deal.
The 23-year-old has been in and out of the Brewers side, making 14 appearances in all competitions, but has 18 months to go on his contract.
