It was a point the Blues could easily have turned into victory with substitute Shaun Williams missing a second half penalty.

Both Michael Jacobs and John Marquis were also denied by an inspired showing after the restart from Donny stopper Pontus Dahlberg.

Yet, Pompey could count themselves a little fortunate not to have fallen behind after Tommy Rowe's 19th-minute strike was ruled out for a slight push on centre-back Clark Robertson.

As it was, the Blues made it three wins and a draw from their opening four League One matches to remain undefeated.

And, largely, the Fratton faithful felt it was a point Pompey could build from moving forward having made a bright start to the season.

@BlueArmyAlex: We were the better team in the second half, shouldn’t be demoralised by a draw at a typically tough team irrelevant of the penalty. Believe in Cowley and keep going@Littlenoel_7: The penalty and Curtis flick he did when he could of just struck the ball which cost us the 3 points smh, but one point is better than 0 points PUP@Lin_Pompey: Yes, well done. Proud of you lads @EveningGlennie: Scrappy, but it's a point. Williams and Jacobs really do bring that spark to the side. Ogilvie doesn't look that convincing yet. We're not that far away. Williams getting injured would be a worry.@Steve_Wrixon: Take that in the end. Curtis should have scored when he tried to flick it in the area. Penalty was a good save, but pretty poor execution. Onto the next game. Still not conceded and keeping pace towards the right end of the table. Can’t win them all in this league.@deanprobert89: Let’s just hope that penalty miss doesn’t cost us towards the end of the season. Fourth clean sheet, though. Bazunu is a brilliant keeper.@LewPeet: Much better second half and thought it was a great game. Another clean sheet and a point away from home against a decent side@bericszn: Two points dropped but we’re unbeaten still and should have won it. Keep the faith in Cowleys we trust
