Now, upon the expiry of the deal he signed in August 2021 following a switch from Swansea for a reported £1.5m, he has bid farewell to Dean Court and is seeking a new challenge.

Inevitably, that will see him linked with Pompey, where he made 119 appearances and scored 29 times during a hugely successful two-and-a-half years on the south coast.

In addition, Harry Redknapp’s grandson, also called Harry, is among four second-year scholars to be released after graduating.

Lowe scored nine goals in 35 appearances during a Swansea loan stay last season, representing his second spell with the club.

He left Pompey for Wigan in August 2019 for a fee around £2.5m and later represented Swansea (twice), Bournemouth and QPR, while has established himself as a Jamaica international.
