Ben Thompson (Millwall), David Wheeler (QPR), Andre Green (Aston Villa) and Joe Mason (Wolves) are currently on temporary stays at Fratton Park.

Players in that situation are often advised not to feature in the FA Cup, with their parent clubs keen not to have them cup-tied in potential latter rounds of the competition.

But the Blues quartet have been given the go-ahead to play in Saturday's first-round clash against Maidenhead United at York Road.

It could, therefore, see Green make his Pompey comeback following two months out of action with a knee problem.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's game, Jackett said: '˜Everyone's fit and available in terms of their loans.

'˜Andre Green has trained this week and will be available, while Ben Thompson can play, too.'
