Portsmouth yet to find replacement for departing WrightÂ
Pompey have yet to identify a replacement for Dave Wright.
But Kenny Jackett has insisted the soon-to-be-vacant head of youth recruitment role is a '˜sought after job.'Â
Wright is currently working his three-month notice period after The News revealed he was set to leave the club last month.
The former Blues youth captain and Crystal Palace player was headhunted to take up a similar position at Brighton & Hove Albion, which starts in the new year.
Dan Ashworth is taking Wright to the Amex Stadium following his link-up with the Seagulls '“ after acting as the FA's technical director for the past five years.
Wright only arrived at Fratton Park in February '“ a move heralded as a major coup given his lofty reputation in the academy game.Â
The former City Boys student was given the remit of overseeing changes in tandem with Pompey youth chief Mark Kelly.
Wright's departure represents a blow for the Blues, who now have to find a suitable candidate to fill his boots.Â
Jackett told how Pompey have advertised the post, with the interview stage of the recruitment procedure to begin shortly.
And the manager believes it's a role that will attract plenty of candidates.
Jackett said: '˜We have advertised and will be in the process of interviewing and appointing shortly.
'˜It's a sought after job.
'˜There is a process to it, which is advertise, interview and appoint.
'˜We're in the process of doing that and replacing him.'
Former under-18s coach, Mikey Harris, also departed Pompey to move to Brighton's Category One academy last season.Â
