Portsmouth duo passed fit for visit of Walsall

Jamal Lowe and Gareth Evans have been given clean bills of health ahead of Walsall's visit.

Both were substituted having suffered knocks in Saturday's visit to Scunthorpe, but returned to training yesterday.

It means Kenny Jackett has the option of fielding an unchanged side for Pompey's first league match at Fratton Park in 36 days.

Joe Mason is still not ready to return from injury, with Sunday's FA Cup second-round trip to Rochdale pencilled in as a possible comeback for the attacker.

Dion Donohue also remains sidelined with his hamstring problem, while Andre Green is battling to break into the match-day 18.

For the Saddlers, Winger Zeli Ismail is a doubt.

The 24-year-old was forced off with a thigh injury in Walsall's 2-2 home draw against Sunderland on Saturday.

Kieron Morris could come in to replace Ismail should the Albanian-born wide man not recover in time for the Fratton Park meeting.
