Pompey suggested that fans made a minimum donation of £3 for the pins, meaning that the club raised at least £3,000 with all the money going to the Royal British Legion.

Sarah Ferris, community fundraiser for The Royal British Legion, said: '˜We are delighted that Pompey have decided to support us again, particularly with the significance of the centenary year.

'˜The Legion are pleased that Pompey have chosen to have a special 2018 commemorative pin badge for their followers to show support for both their club and The Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.'
