Rams to remember fallen hero Chant
Former Ram Darren Chant was killed while serving in the Army in Afghanistan and the club holds a special event every year, as close as possible to Remembrance Sunday, to remember both him and the town’s other fallen heroes.
Chant, who played at Love Lane between 1997 and 2005, was killed in Nad E’Ali, a town in Helmand Province, on November 3, 2009.

‘The Armed Forces have played a key part in life in Petersfield throughout many generations and I hope as many people as possible join us to pay tribute to Darren.’
On the football front, manager John Robson has been using Petersfield’s enforced break from action to get to know his players more.
The visit of Kempston on Saturday will be the Rams’ first game for 10 days and the hope is the break will have refreshed the players.

‘Not many sides liked coming to Love Lane last season and we need to turn our ground into a fortress again and look to get as many points as possible from our home matches in the league.’
