Little more than three weeks into January’s transfer window and there have been no new arrivals at Fratton Park.

Teenage Liverpool goalkeeper Ryan Fulton remains an option and a player highly-regarded in the game.

Paul Cook is also seeking to bolster his Blues strike force and would be willing to pay a transfer fee to secure a player possessing the right calibre.

Caolan Lavery continues to be a contender as he seeks to depart Sheffield Wednesday.

He has little future at the Hillsborough club, who are currently attempting to turn striker Gary Hooper’s successful loan spell from Norwich into a permanent deal.

As the Fratton faithful await on the outcomes, Richardson is adamant work is carrying on behind the scenes to recruit the right personnel.

And Cook’s right-hand man has pledged no stone is being left unturned in a bid to identify players to aid their promotion push.

The assistant manager said: ‘On a daily basis the manager and myself are looking at players to recruit, we are working hard.

‘Along with Mark Catlin and Tony Brown, we are constantly looking at things, trying to balance everything as best as we can.

‘To be successful you must put in the hours and must work hard. That is what we are doing, so fingers crossed.’

Meanwhile, Pompey’s trip to Barnet has been rearranged for Tuesday, February 23 (7.45pm).
