Nicole Matthew scored twice in the space of three minutes before half-time with sub Paige Seeley and Bell-Jack on target in the second half.

‘I rested six regulars but we still played some lovely football,’ said Watson, who is targeting a third successive promotion in 2019/20 – one that would take them into the National League divisions.

Moneyfields now have two cup games at Dover Road - a League Cup tie with Ascot this coming Sunday and a Hampshire Senior Cup semi final with Southampton FC on Wednesday, January 29.

Moneys were formed at the same time as Southampton prior to the start of the 2017/18 season, and remain the only team to ever beat them in a league game.

They are currently top, two points ahead of Southampton Women - who Moneys beat 3-2 in the quarter finals of the Hampshire Cup this season.
