His last start came in the 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Gillingham on October 6.

The fixture against Spurs would have given manager Kenny Jackett the opportunity to give the former Ipswich striker more game time and a chance to add to his four goals this season.

Meanwhile, Andre Green is expected to start against the north Londoners.

He's available after recovering from a knee injury that required a minor operation back in September.

Speaking to The News, Jackett said: '˜Andre's likely to start.

'˜He's back after a full week of training and fully over his knee injury, confident and looking forward to getting back playing.

'˜I'll be surprised if he played 90 minutes, but if he does that would be great.

'˜The game's come at almost the perfect time for him, to be able to get back after his injury and contribute towards our season.'

Jackett added: '˜Brett has a knee injury.

'˜But he'll be okay by a week on Saturday.

'˜We'll be making changes (for the Spurs game).

'˜You have to put enough experience out but we've got players who do need games.

'˜Lads who have been in and out of our side, substitutes who are just on the fringe of it but do need to play.

'˜We'll mix that in with maybe one or two promising youngsters who I think will be good to see and judge against a side I know very well.'
