LivePortsmouth's woes continue as they sink to third loss on spin to Sunderland - Watch Party reaction
Pompey host promotion rivals Sunderland tonight in what many believe is a must-win game for Kenny Jackett's side.
The sixth-placed Blues' Championship hopes are fading fast for another season, following a run of form that has seen them pick up just four points from a possible 18.
And with the Fratton faithful nervously looking over their shoulders at the teams immediately below them in the table, nothing other than a win over the Black Cats will do.
There's been no love lost between these two teams in recent seasons – and Lee Johnson's side will be determined to put another nail in the Pompey promotion coffin.
However, tonight's visitors have not won at Fratton Park since 1997.
But the history books will mean little come kick-off, with tonight's Pompey line-up in total control of how the game is decided and, ultimately, how rest of the season pans out.
It should be another intriguing battle. Kick-off is a 7.45pm.
