Sweet 16 as Portsbridge hammer Gosport United in the Portsmouth & District FA Sunday Trophy

It was a case of sweet 16 for Portsbridge United in the first round of the Portsmouth & District FA Intermediate Sunday Cup.

They boasted three hat-trick heroes in a 16-0 demolition of Gosport United.

Tom Ludford led the rout with five goals while Brendon Wall (4) and Lewis Brooks (3) also joined in the spree.

Freehouse won 6-1 at Shelford Rovers with goals from Jack Davies, Luke Hobby, Luke Baker, Alfie Fisher, Ian Fisher and Terry Boscoe.

Freehouse Reserves are also through after Paul Baker, Jay Grist, Ryan Jenkins and sub Ross Phelps netted in a 4-0 victory over Samba.

A Bayley Whitcombe double gave Seagull a 2-0 victory over AC Meon.

Old Boys Athletic caned Cross Keys 7-1 with goals from Matt Cooper (3), Luke Chalcraft (2) and Liam Holt (2).

Reece Austin and Josh Fry replied as AFC Bedhampton Village were thumped 8-2 by Waterlooville Social Club.

Zak Willett’s hat-trick helped Southsea United progress to the second round of the Portsmouth & District League Trophy.

Aaron Behan added the other goals in a 5-3 win against Hill Head.

Simon Woods struck his third hat-trick of the season as Wicor Mill Royals enjoyed a 7-1 win over Whiteley. Joe Waterman (2), Russ Vince and Liam Davies also netted.

Bobby Read netted the only goal as AC Copnor defeated Saturn Royale.
