US Portsmouth Reserves are first local football team to break through 100-goal league barrier
Lee Mould’s side broke through the three-figure barrier during their 9-0 destruction of Folland Sports in the Wyvern Combination East Division.
That took USP’s tally to a remarkable 103 in only 17 matches - 15 of which have been won to open up a 13-point lead over Alton, who have two games in hand.

Hide AdUSP - now averaging six goals a game in the league - stormed into a 6-0 lead after just 33 minutes.
Luke Richards began the rout with two goals inside the opening seven minutes before Dan Sibley struck in the 14th and 21st minutes.
Kieran Dowell made it 5-0 on 23 minutes before Sibley completed a rapid hat-trick on 33 minutes.
Jay Johnson and Harry Bedford further extended the lead before Sibley bagged his fourth of the afternoon nine minutes from time.

Hide AdIt was the ninth time in the league this season that USP had fired at least half a dozen goals.
Other high-scoring victories were achieved against Clanfield (14-0 and 6-0), Infinity (10-0 and 8-1), Liphook (10-0 and 6-1), Hayling (7-0) and Folland (6-2).
In addition, USP have also caned Liphook 9-0 in the Wyvern Cup and Hayling 6-0 in the Portsmouth Senior Cup.
Sibley now has a superb 25 league and cup goals for USP’s second string in just 11 appearances in 2019/20 - including two four-goal showings.

Hide AdHe has also struck 12 times for USP’s first team in 27 appearances - 23 of which have come off the bench.
Top scorer Freddie Nancarrow, meanwhile, has 26 USP reserve goals from just 13 starts - meaning the two strikers have now 51 league and cup goals between them in just 24 matches!
The next highest-scoring Wyvern Combination team, across the competition’s three divisions, is Poole Town. They have netted 67 Premier Division goals in 21 matches
