Glen, leading the side in the absence of Tom Jeffes, was dismissed around the 25-minute mark in a 2-0 home victory over Totton & Elling.

Playing in the centre of defence, he brought down the last man and could have no complaints about his dismissal.

US were already leading at the time through a goal from James Franklyn.

The hosts completed victory in the second period when Franklyn, playing deeper than usual once US had gone down to 10 men, crossed for sub Cameron Quirke to head in.

US are back in Victory Stadium action on Tuesday evening against higher division Tadley Calleva in the Wessex League Cup.

Boss Glenn Turnbull will use the tie to give squad players some minutes.
