And so do the words of Michael Eisner's son Eric after the American billionaire was filmed enjoying an impromptu show of support from Pompey fans.

Eisner Snr, whose bid to buy the club will be voted on by members of the Pompey Supporters Trust, arrived unannounced at the Shepherd's Crook pub near Fratton Park ahead of Saturday's momentous victory over Cheltenham.

He mixed with fans, chatting about his plans and clearly enjoying them singing 'Michael Eisner, he's one of our own.'

A 14-secojnd clip of the moment was posted on Twitter by his son Eric (‏ @eric_eisner ) with the message: 'This means everything. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Hopefully you will have us back.'

After meeting fans at the pub, Eisner watched the 6-1 victory at Fratton Park that clinched the League Two title for Pompey.
