He was one of the greatest goalscorers ever to play for Pompey.
And archive video means fans of today can still enjoy glimpses of the skill of the great Duggie ‘Thunderboots’ Reid.
A British Pathe newsreel from 1950 shows the Scots striker scoring both goals as Pompey overcame a game Norwich City 2-0 in an FA Cup tie at Carrow Road in 1950.
Reid, who scored 129 goals for Pompey in a 10-year stint at Fratton Park that started in 1946, died in 2002 aged 84.
