KENNY Jackett criticised Pompey's defending in their 3-1 defeat at Southend.
The Blues went 2-0 behind after just 12 minutes and were reduced to 10-men when Nathan Thompson was sent off in the 64th-minute.
Jackett said: ‘I thought we were poor defensively. I thought we were too deep.
‘We didn’t work hard enough to block the crosses coming into our box.’
