The Republic of Ireland international's goal in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Walsall was his seventh of the season for the League One leaders. 

It ensured he moved back to the top of Blues' scoring charts, level with Gareth Evans, Jamal Lowe and Oli Hawkins.

Curtis, inset, revealed he and fellow winger Lowe have their own competition ongoing to see who can finish with the most efforts this term.

And the winger told the confidence in the Fratton Park dressing room means the quartet are all desperate to etch their name on the scoresheet in every match. 

'˜I'm on seven goals now and there is a bit of competition,' said Curtis.

'˜Gareth is on seven, so is Jamal and Hawks so we are all up there and we are all flying.

'˜Jamal and I have got a bit of a competition going on because we are the wingers '“ we'll see what happens.

'˜It's a great position for us because we're all scoring and there is great chemistry on the training ground.

'˜We all want to be the best we can be.

'˜That's why we are at the top of the league.

'˜We have great confidence and great chemistry.

'˜The confidence is flying around at the minute and we all want to get the goals.

'˜We've recorded five straight wins and the mood in the changing room is great.

'˜Even in training in our little games we're all trying to compete and we want to win.'
