The Blues drew 1-1 with the strugglers as they levelled after falling a goal behind and being reduced to 10 men.

That was after Christian Burgess was sent off for two quickfire bookings.

Gary Roberts then stepped up as he delivered a little bit of quality with a left-footed finish with five minutes left.

Cook was disappointed with the performance but happy with the manner of the point.

He said: ‘It summed up our season.

‘Ryan Fulton makes a good save and you think we are going to go on from there.

‘But we weren’t at it and it was scrappy and bitty from us.

‘We fell behind and then it looked like it could be 2-0 or 3-0.

‘But then things got dramatic.

‘We never played well but we dug out a point and I’m happy we got that for our supporters.

‘I’ve got no problem with the character of my players.

‘These can be the points which make a difference at the end of the season.’
