The Meon Milton youth tournament proved a record breaker as teams from across the south descended on Eastney Barracks.
It was a weekend to remember for everyone involved.
A record total of 184 teams took part – with entries from as far out as Bournemouth, Basingstoke, Petersfield and Leatherhead.
Meon Milton had all their teams competing, as well as helping out along with the managers.
Club secretary Graeme Blackford was thrilled to see the tournament grow again this year.
He said: ‘Word has got out that we have an excellent tournament and this one was bigger than ever before.
‘It’s been a fantastic weekend for everyone – a perfect weekend.
‘Our groundsman has been a hero and the pitches at Eastney Barracks are like bowling greens.
‘We had a big team of volunteers who made it possible.
‘The referees were very good and our chairman Martin Welch did a great job.
‘This is the best we’ve ever had.’
Blackford is now hoping to see even more growth for the tournament next year.
He added: ‘I think we can find a way to make it even bigger. First, we’re all going to have a well-earned rest.’
