Golden trio star in Birmingham... Multi-talented Maisie helps Hampshire to victory

The City of Portsmouth sprinter won the W35 race with a time of 16.40sec.

She also finished fourth in the 100m (13.11).

Claudia Cubbage had a busy time of it with four events in Birmingham.

She won the W40 high jump with a clearance of 1.35m and finished second in the pole vault (2.50m).

In the shot put a distance of 8.94m was good enough for sixth place, while she finished fourth in the discus with 21.97m.

Tracy Bezance won the W50 400m with a time of 65.48sec.

Meanwhile in the English Schools’ Combined Events Championships Maisie Grice helped Hampshire to team glory.

The former City of Portsmouth athlete, from Fareham, got a heptathlon personal best of 4,255 points in Exeter.

She was second scorer as the team took the gold.

City of Portsmouth’s Hollie Thurgood achieved a score of 3,157 points in the under-15 pentathlon to finish sixth in Exeter.

Madeline Wilton scored 2,914 points and finished in 16th position.
