EMMA ALLEN has been called up by England for this weekend’s Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters.
Recognised as one of the most prestigious under-18 championships in the world for boys and girls, the tournament runs from Friday to Sunday at Nizels Golf and Country Club, Kent.
Meon Valley GC ace Allen is one of three females selected for the event by England, which has attracted 156 players from all over the world.
Her participation is the latest recognition at international level for the talented 18-year-old.
Last year she helped England win the 2014 Girls’ Home Internationals at Donabate Golf Club, Co. Dublin, Ireland.
Allen was also a key member of the Hampshire side who lifted the England Golf women’s county title at Belton Park Golf Club, Lincolnshire, last September.
Meanwhile, Meon Valley club-mate, Charlotte Dack, will be Hampshire’s sole representative at next month’s Abraham Trophy.
She will be one of 23 female golfers who will descend on Royal Cromer Golf Club, Norfolk, on July 26, in a bid to become England’s most improved girl golfer.
