Goodwood May Festival: Tips for day three

It's the final day of Goodwood's May Festival and there are seven races on the card - including another two Listed contests.

Here are some tips for the fixture from top female jockey Hayley Turner and our own tipster Steve Bone. Both have had a little bit of success over the first two days at Goodwood.

Hayley Turner talks about her own rides and others’ contenders here and says: “I ride Boom and Bust in the first race at 2.05, the 32Red Festival Stakes. He has won at this course before and I think he has a good chance.

“I like the look of Lanark in the 2.35 EBF Brighton & Hove Albion Maiden Stakes. He was a promising second over this course and distance last time and I think he could improve on that today.

“The Betchworth Kid is my ride in the 3.05 Allans Of Petworth Handicap for trainer Michael Bell and I think he has a chance.

“In the 3.35 32Red Handicap I ride You Da One who is proving to be consistent. He was third at Chester on his handicap debut and will hopefully improve on that here.

“My pick in the 4.05 Tapster Stakes is my ride Bana Wu, who was fourth on his first start back this season and should come on for the run.

“We Have A Dream is running off a fair handicap mark here and his return at Kempton last time was encouraging so I think he could be in the frame in the 4.40 Jersey Racing Club Handicap.

“My last ride on the card, in the 5.15 Federation Of Bloodstock Agents Maiden Fillies’ Stakes, is Fonseca. This will be her first run but she is half-sister to a five-furlong two-year-old winner so she will hopefully be an early type.”

Steve Bone’s Goodwood tips for Saturday: 2.05 Afsare, 2.35 Langavat, 3.05 Moldowney, 3.35 Gworn, 4.05 Noble Mission, 4.40 Aye Aye Digby, 5.15 Tafaaseel.
