Griffiths helps Waverley put Park to the sword

Southsea Waverley made the most of Fareham's postponement to extend their lead at the top of the Portsmouth & District League division one table.

Waverley thrashed College Park by 49 shots – winning on all four links but led by Mark Griffith’s team.

The Southsea side’s cause was helped by Rowner slipping to a shock three-shot home loss at the hands of bottom club Gosport.

The 15-shot win for Mick Brown’s Milton rink was to no avail.

It was their only win and quickly counterbalanced by the 14-shot success of Joe Slatter’s Ville rink.

In division two, Vospers extended their lead at the top of the table by thrashing Bedhampton by 53-shots at their Northern Parade home.
