A flying performance from Fareham School of Gymnastics (FSG) saw them ace the Hampshire grades.
Laura Vahey, Hannah Williams, Ruby Tryon and Ella Collins produced excellent performances in their first women’s artistic county competition.
They held their nerve really well to put in some very good displays.
Sophie Wood passed the highest grade at this level and now has a full set, while Charlotte Pitcher finished fifth in an extremely competitive grade three event.
She won on floor with a stunning routine and was second on vault.
Amy Shepherd also showed determination to pass her grade.
Head coach Clare Parker was extremely proud of all her gymnasts who took part in the competition.
Fareham gymnasts also recently returned from an invitational competition in Chichester.
The club’s boys squad, formed in September 2014, kept their cool under pressure in only their second competitive event.
Jaidan Sterling-Mannings led the way with a brilliant gold medal success.
His team-mates were also impressive as FSG added two bronze and two silvers to the medal haul.
Back at home, Fareham welcomed clubs from West Sussex, Hampshire and Oxfordshire.
More than 100 gymnasts were in action in the friendly, well-supported event.
Owen Mullins, Emilia Walker, Millie Wood, Emma Ward, Ava Watch, Esme Scovell and Amber Thompson all won gold medals for Fareham.
Malosha Allen, Lucy Hudson Wilde, Ella Collins, Tia Westbrook and Charlotte Pitcher picked up silvers.
They were joined on the podium by club-mates Ellie T’Sang, Jordan Hales Brown, Rebecca Johnson, Poppy Gaylor and Hannah Williams, who all earned bronze medals.
Meanwhile, Fareham are continuing their drive for a purpose-built facility and are always looking for support to help make it happen.
