Have your say

Phil Harris took little time to notch his latest win as he moved up to 19th in the world rankings.

The 28-year-old flyweight, who is based at Gym01 in Portsmouth, recorded a first-round victory over Remi Moran in Kiev, Ukraine, after just four minutes courtesy of an armbar submission.

There was also success for Harris’ club-mate James Brum as the bantamweight saw off Spaniard Leandro Gontijo with a unanimous points verdict.

There is no let-up for Harris, with the 5ft 5in fighter next scheduled to return to action in Dubai this Friday, March 16.

The Dockyard pipe fitter will take on Casey Dyer who, at 6ft 1in, has an eight-inch height advantage.

Harris said: ‘Dyer is the tallest guy I have fought. What I need to do is get in close as I will be much stronger.’

Fellow Gym01 fighter Mok Rahman is also fighting on the same card.

Meanwhile, The Pyramids hosts Shock ‘N’ Awe 10 tonight, with the action starting at 6.30pm,

A small number of tickets will be on sale on the door, so early attendance is advised.
