Havant feeling fresh for Chobham trip with first win now in the bank

Will Knight's side are aiming to carry on where they left off when they earned success at London Cornish.

They have played eight away games in a row in London one south now.

But with a win it has given the team a welcome lift.

They are also boosted by the return of their captain Joel Knight, in the centre, after suspension.

Head coach Will Knight is expecting it to be difficult.

He said: '˜Chobham are tough opponents particularly at their place.

'˜We must look to maintain the edge and clinical approach we showed in our last game.

'˜It was good to get a win under our belts.

'˜We are not naive enough to believe one result changes everything.

'˜Hopefully, though it will prove to be a fresh start to our season.'

Apart from the return of Knight in the centre the visitors make just one more change to their starting line-up.

Dan Mundan returns at number eight in place of the unavailable Joe Davis.

Knight is optimistic the team could soon be playing at home with the 4G pitch at Hooks Lane almost ready.

He said: '˜There is the prospect we could be playing our first home game of the season next week.

'˜The pitch is due to be tested and handed over this weekend.

'˜To be fair none of us really understood how difficult it would be to play away week after week.

'˜At least for the rest of the season the vast majority of our games are at home.

Petersfield travel to meet Old Tiffinians in London south west three. 

The Reds haven't won yet but have been close in some of their losses and will be hoping to build on the positive aspects seen in their last outing. 

In the corresponding fixture last season, the teams recorded a 31-31 draw. 

Petersfield will battle hard to go one better and pull off a desperately needed win.
